Karen Selk is a textile artist, teacher, writer, and entrepreneur dedicated to all things silk. She has given hundreds of workshops and presentations on silk and weaving worldwide and has written numerous articles on silk. In 1982, she and her husband created Treenway Silks and dedicated themselves to providing the highest-quality silk directly from Asia. Her passion to learn about everything silk has led her throughout Asia and the wild silk forests of India in particular for more than 30 years. She lives on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada.
