Ed Buryn is a retired author, professional photographer, publisher, and editor. Currently he is an online bookseller and performing poet. Besides creating The William Blake Tarot of the Creative Imagination, and the William Blake Tarot Triumphs (Nevada City, CA: TAROT, 1991), he also wrote Vagabonding in America (New York: Random House, 1973), Vagabonding in the U.S.A. (Berkeley, CA: And/Or Press, 1976), Vagabonding in Europe No. Africa (New York: Random House, 1971), and Hitch-Hiking in Europe (San Francisco: Hannah, 1969). During a 30-year career in freelance photojournalism in San Francisco, he also published two photography books, Two Births (New York: Random House, 1972) and Mission Creek San Francisco (San Francisco: Mission Creek Conservancy, 1985). His two self-published books of poetry are Sacred Southwest Suite (1995) and Eclectic Neurotica (2020). He is listed in American Photographers (New York: Facts on File, 1989), Who's Who in Photography (Five Corners, 1991), and Contemporary Authors, Volumes 85&ndash 88. He is a two-time prize winner in the Nikon International Photo Contest (1977, 1985). Ed Buryn has lived in Northern California for many years.
